Man allegedly threatens girlfriend with gun, flees

A 25-year-old man reportedly pointed a gun at his girlfriend’s head at a home in Barrio Logan late Tuesday morning and escaped before officers surrounded the home, police said.

The domestic violence call came in just before 11 a.m. Officers swarmed a house on National Avenue near Chicano Park and got the victim and other people out.

The victim told police the man was no longer in the house, Capt. Dan Grubbs told OnScene TV.

Video from OnScene TV shows officers calling for anyone inside the home to walk out with their hands in the air before the officers busted open a front screen door.

They cleared the house and didn’t find the suspect, Grubbs said.
