Blackhawks 6, Blue Jackets 5 (SO): Patrick Kane scored career goal No. 398 and collected three assists, helping Chicago to a shootout win at Columbus.
Senators 5, Canadiens 4 (SO): Josh Norris scored the shootout winner to give host Ottawa a victory over Montreal. Both teams had excellent chances in overtime.
Penguins 3, Capitals 2 (OT): Kasperi Kapanen scored on a onetimer 1:43 into overtime, lifting Pittsburgh to a victory over host Washington.
Predators 2, Red Wings 0: Filip Forsberg and Eeli Tolvanen each scored power play goals in the third period to help Nashville beat host Detroit.
Oilers 4, Canucks 3: Edmonton erased a 3-1 deficit in the third period to beat host Vancouver with goals from Dominik Kahun, Connor McDavid and Tyler Ennis.
