Tatis also singled in his first at-bat and walked his final time up. … Trent Grisham scored the Padres’ first run on a delayed steal of home. He sprinted to the plate when Diamondbac­ks catcher Daulton Varsho threw to second in a failed attempt to get Tatis stealing. … Austin Nola drove in Jake Cronenwort­h with his second double of the spring. … Shortstop CJ Abrams, the team’s top position prospect, crushed a fly ball to the deepest part of the field in right-center and sprinted around the bases for a stand-up triple.
