POWAY, CA —

Ellen was born to Robert and Janet Belesky on June 23, 1965, in Dearborn, Michigan. Robert moved the family to Erlanger, Kentucky, where Ellen attended elementary, middle, and Dixie Heights High School. During her formative years at Dixie, she found her passion for organizing, while working backstage in the school’s drama department. This passion ultimately led to her career as an Executive Admin.

Ellen joined the Army while in high school with the intent to see the world and gain experience in the administration field. She did so for two years while stationed in Germany. Upon leaving the Army, Ellen settled in Toledo and found work in a hospital.

Ellen ventured out to California to visit her brother Richard who was serving in the Navy. Soon Ellen figured San Diego was too nice of a city to leave and sought work. She found employment with REMEC as an Executive Admin., which presented her the opportunity to engage in her passion of organizing and bringing people together while working with executives. Her love of allowing others to enjoy the moment could be seen in the many events she organized for the company, including Easter egg hunts, company picnics, moonlight bowling, 3 on 3 basketball, and many other company functions. While at REMEC, she also met her loving husband Timmy, whom she married in 1996 and later had three daughters: Timell, Mylen, and Sky.

After leaving REMEC/ Cobham, Ellen went on to work in the biomedical field in the same capacity at Sequenom, Mirati, and Rady Children’s Institute. Life can be unpredictable, and after some time, Ellen ended up working at ENGIN-IC, which is owned and run by some of the same team members she supported while at REMEC.

Ellen always had a can-do, positive attitude and looked for the best in everyone. She was a compassionate and ethical person who practiced what she preached. She sought the best for her family, as well as all whom she engaged.

Ellen was a member of the Valley PTA during her daughter’s elementary years, a prominent College Bound supporter and active participant, and sat on the Mt. Carmel High School Site Council.

Ellen wasn’t afraid to get behind a worthy cause. She supported the Susan

G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk as a donor and a walker for several years. Later in life, Ellen was diagnosed with breast cancer and was able to ring the bell that signified she had beat breast cancer and was cancer free. This was one of the happiest moments in her life!

Ellen Montgomery later contracted the PML virus. After a five-month battle, she passed away on February 6, 2021, in the comfort of her home. Her fight stands as a testament to her courage and passion for life.

Ellen is survived by her husband Timmy, her daughters Timell, Mylen, and Sky, her mother Janet, brothers Richard and Kenneth, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Memorial is today, March 20, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Horizon Church 6365 El Apajo Road Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92091.
