Sophia Ramuno

Softball | Helix

The junior took up right where she left off last year by pitching a perfect game in a 10-0 win over Central. Ramuno struck out 12 of the 15 batters she faced in the run-rule shortened 5-inning contest.

Isaiah Gomez

Baseball | Grossmont

A senior catcher-third baseman, Gomez went 10-for-12 (.833). That included three doubles, three homers, seven runs scored and 13 RBIs. He went 3-for-3 with two home runs and seven RBIs against San Ysidro.

Noelle Harvey

Swimming | La Costa Canyon Undefeated at this point in the season, the senior has posted times like 25.09 in the 50 freestyle, 5:07.40 in the 500 free, 2:07.54 in the 200-individual medley and 57.00 in her specialty, the 100 backstroke.

Carly Barry

Field Hockey | Torrey Pines Rarely do defenders get much attention but the senior right halfback set the pace, scoring in the first game on a corner shot before helping the Falcons shut out defending champion Cathedral Catholic.

Christian Liang

Football | Ocean View

In a 58-8 victory over the San Diego Jewish Academy, the senior quarterback passed for a pair of touchdowns while piling up 114 yards in addition to one rushing TD. He added an interception.

Kyra Chan

Softball | Torrey Pines A three-year starting center fielder, the 11th-grader went 8-for-15 with one home run, seven runs scored and three RBIs in helping the Falcons go 3-0 to start the season.

Bryce Gilmore

Boys Track | Sage Creek Taking advantage of quality competition in Arizona, the Bobcats junior just missed breaking 9 minutes in the 3,200, clocking a 9:00.43 at the Sundown Track Series. He earlier ran a 4:14.67 mile.

Chloe Sagan

Gymnastics | Torrey Pines Posting scores of 9.0 or better on three of the four disciplines, the freshman recorded an overall score of 36.65. She had a 9.2 in the vault, an 8.45 on the bars, a 9.4 on the beam and a 9.6 on the floor exercise.
