-

Today, more than ever, taking care of your vision should be a priority. For the past year, the pandemic has confined people to their homes, working and studying remotely with more time spent at the computer.

If your eyes are tired and irritated from prolonged screen time, the specialists at the Baja California Institute of Ophthalmology (IDOC) in Tijuana are here to help. The bilingual clinic offers eye exams, consultations and specializes in pterygium treatments and cataract, retina and Lasik surgeries.

“Through the knowledge, efforts and commitment of our medical group, specialists and the entire work team, we seek to contribute to the well-being and improvement of the visual health of the population we serve,” said a spokesperson for the clinic.

Only 15 minutes south of the border in Tijuana, the clinic prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service, but most importantly, its professional ethics and safety and quality protocols. The specialists at IDOC are certified in Mexico, the United States and Canada and partner with the American insurance company Mediexcel Health.

he popular clinic, in the heart of Tijuana on Paseo de los Héroes 2507 in the Zona Urbana Río, serves about 4,500 patients a year. One of the big draws are the affordable prices. Currently, the price of an office visit is $50 or free with the purchase of lenses. Lasik evaluations are also free. IDOC also sees children, which is important during this time of virtual learning.
