Robert M ‘Bob’ Johnson

September 12, 1930 - March 30, 2021

ESCONDIDO — It is with heavy heart that we announce that Robert “Bob” Marion Johnson went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2021, at the age of 90 in Escondido, CA surrounded by family. Bob was born on September 12, 1930 in Kansas City, MO to Maurice C. and Laura M. Johnson and was raised in the Topeka, KS area with his older brother Richard C Johnson and younger sister, Juanita M Delore, who both preceded him in death.

After serving in the

Air Force, he met Mary Yvonne Wyatt in Colorado and made her his bride on March 25, 1967 in Denver, CO and they celebrated 49 years together before her passing on December 3, 2016. They raised 6 girls together.

He is survived by Linda (Ken) Miller of Carlsbad, CA Sherri (Dale) Jones of Escondido, CA

Cindy (Mike) Martinez of San Marcos, CA

Kimberly (Ed) Couch of Escondido, CA

Kerri Johnson of Pueblo, CO

and 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren

He is preceded in death by Pam Price: Valley

Center, CA

Services will be at Emmanuel Faith Community Church where he has been a member and active in the choir for close to 50 years on April 21 at 10am in the Family Center with a light reception to follow in the outside courtyard.

Interment will be later this summer in Yocum Cemetery, Wakarusa, KS near the old family homestead.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Emmanuel Faith Community Church in his name.
