Nov. 29 TEMECULA Tree lighting

The city of Temecula will hold its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at the Temecula Duck Pond, 28250 Ynez Road. Enjoy a tasty treat, a visit from Santa and festive music while awaiting the tree lighting countdown.

Dec. 3 TEMECULA Coffee Connection

Dec. 3 TEMECULA Christmas parade

Santa’s Electric Light Parade will make its way through Temecula beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. The parade route runs along Jefferson Avenue north from Del Rio Road. Bring blankets and chairs to sit on.

Dec. 4 LAKE ELSINORE Waste collection

The city of Lake Elsinore will hold its next household hazardous waste drop-off event for city residents from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 4, at 512 N. Langstaff St., next to the Public Works Yard. Dec. 4 MENIFEE Tree lighting

The city of Menifee will kick off the holiday season with its annual tree lighting ceremony from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Mt. San Jacinto College, 28237 La Piedra Road. The event is free to the public and will include games, crafts for kids and snow for sliding. The city, in collaborat­ion with the Menifee

Valley Community Cupboard and Menifee Police Department, will be collecting food and gift donations for local families in need.

Dec. 4 LAKE ELSINORE Winter Fest

The city of Lake Elsinore will hold a Winter Fest celebratio­n from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, on Main Street downtown. The free event will include a holiday parade, tree lighting, sled runs, and arts and crafts. There will also be food and merchandis­e vendors and some low-cost amusements, as well as photos with Santa.

Dec. 4 MURRIETA Donuts with Santa

The city of Murrieta will hold a Donuts with Santa event at three locations in the city from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. Admission costs one non-perishable food item per person and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to 300 children. The event will be at Alderwood Clubhouse, 28610 Baxter Road; Copper Canyon Park, 23790 Via Alisol; and Town Square Park, 11 Town Square.

Dec. 5 TEMECULA Sunday Funday at Vail HQ

Vail Headquarte­rs will host its next Sunday Funday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with local vendors, train and stagecoach rides, family activities and a DJ on the Vail Headquarte­rs Stage. Vail Headquarte­rs is at 32115 Temecula Parkway. For informatio­n, visit www.vailhq.com.

Dec. 8-19 LAKE ELSINORE Winter Lights Kingdom

The Winter Lights Kingdom event, a drive-thru holiday lights spectacula­r, will be held Dec. 8 through Dec. 19 at the Lake Elsinore Storm stadium, 500 Diamond Drive. The event include lights, projectors, life-size sculptures and letters to Santa. A daylight experience is available from noon to 4 p.m. and a night experience is from 5 p.m. to midnight. Dec. 9 MURRIETA/WILDOMAR Networking breakfast

The Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly networking breakfast on Dec. 9.

The meeting includes networking from 7:30 to 8 a.m. followed by the regular program at 8 a.m. Cost is $15 for pre-registered members, $25 for pre-registered non-members, $30 at the door for anyone not registered in advance; Soap Box Minute costs $25. Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations

Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. LifeStream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collection­s at its regular locations. Face coverings are required of all donors, regardless of location, and all potential donors are subject to a temperatur­e check and COVID-19 symptom review before admission to the donor waiting area.
