OCEANSIDE — Oceanside, CA, Donna Jean Ross, 75, died of complicati­ons of Pancreatic Cancer, Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Donna (Brower) Ross was born in Coronado, CA on January, 28th 1946. She was one of two children to Marion Brower.

At a very young age Donna was racing quarter midget race cars, and competing in national roller skate competitio­ns. She was a whiz with a sewing machine and made all of her competitio­n roller skating dresses. She also starting styling her friends hair for school dances and special occasions. As soon as she graduated Lincoln High School in San Diego, she went to beauty college and earned her cosmetolog­y license. It turned out to be a lifelong career. While owning her own hair and dress shop she also worked for

Avon. Donna proudly raised a family with her husband of 54 years.

Donna is survived by her husband, Michael Ross, and her three children. (Jeffrey, Jennifer, and Trisha) She was also “Grandma” to seven grandchild­ren (Cody, David, Hailey, Gianna, Mikayla, Hannah, and Addison)

She was always one to help others. Whether she was chauffeuri­ng grandchild­ren to sports or attending their games and competitio­ns; driving a friend to a doctor’s appointmen­t or cutting someone’s hair for a special occasion, she will be greatly missed by countless friends and family who were fortunate to know and love her.

Donna knew no strangers. She touched the lives of so many people with her infectious smile and her generous heart.
