LA MESA — Lynn J. Graham passed away at home on December 1, 2021. A native San Diegan, Lynn was born on September 21, 1935, in Mercy Hospital to his parents Jack A. Graham and Clara (Lepore) Graham. Lynn attended local schools and graduated from San Diego High School.

A couple of days before leaving for college at UC Berkeley, Lynn learned of a business opportunity he couldn’t pass up. Lynn convinced his parents of the wisdom of his decision only after “running the numbers.” Dad Jack did not just get on board with the plan, but volunteered to keep the books for the new venture and provide business advice. This was the start of Lynn’s long life as an entrepreneur, primarily in the car business. In the 1960’s, Lynn had the foresight to buy commercial property in Kearny Mesa where he operated a British Import car dealership. Over the years Lynn engaged in various wholesale, leasing and new car dealership activities, but the commercial property proved to be a sustaining element of his business operations.

Lynn attended college, opting to take accounting and business classes at San Diego State University. During this time, Lynn met his future wife, Linda Thomas. Lynn and Linda married in 1964 and raised two children.

While not working, Lynn was a member of the Active 20-30 Club, participated in the YMCA Indian Guides program with his son, and coached his daughter’s soccer team. He taught both kids how to ski and enjoyed taking the family to Big Bear and Mammoth Mountain.

A big fan of the Padres and the Chargers, Lynn loved going to the games with family and friends. Lynn’s favorite hobby later in life was golf. He and Linda were members of Warner Springs Ranch and Singing Hills Golf Resort at Sycuan. Called “Papa” by the grandkids, Lynn enthusiastically followed their sporting and music competitions. Lynn also greatly valued his lifelong friends and business associates, often reminiscing about old times.

Lynn is survived by his brother Gary Graham, son Mark Graham, daughter Andrea Bacchi (Charles), grandson Phillip Graham, and granddaughters Livia and Julia Bacchi.

Lynn was a kind, gentle man, with a playful sense of humor. Lynn worked hard to take care of his family, and he was always there for his children no matter what the need. He will be missed dearly.
