Rangers 4, Lightning 0: Mika Zibanejad had his eighth career hat trick, Igor Shesterkin stopped 38 shots for his second shutout of the season and host New York beat Tampa Bay. The Rangers beat the Lightning for the second time in three days after a 4-3 shootout victory at Tampa, Fla., on Friday night.

Penguins 8, Sharks 5: Evan Rodrigues and Bryan Rust both finished off hat tricks in the third period and host Pittsburgh beat San Jose for its eighth straight win. The Sharks scored three times in the first 4:09 of the third period but couldn’t overcome the huge deficit.

Bruins 5, Red Wings 1: Erik Haula scored a tiebreakin­g goal in the second period and Boston pulled away with three more in the third to beat host Detroit. Patrice Bergeron had his fifth goal in three games against the Red Wings this season.

Avalanche 4, Ducks 2: Logan O’Connor scored a tiebreakin­g goal late in the third period and Colorado rallied from two goals down to beat visiting Anaheim. The Ducks, who were playing their third game after having three postponeme­nts, grabbed a 2-0 lead on goals by Sam Carrick in the first and Cam Fowler in the second.

Devils 4, Capitals 3 (OT): Nico Hischier scored his second goal of the game with 2:04 left in overtime to give New Jersey a victory at Washington.

Jets 5, Golden Knights 4 (OT): Kyle Connor scored in overtime and visiting Winnipeg held off Vegas in its return from a two-week hiatus. Mattias Janmark scored twice for the Golden Knights in the third period, including a tying goal with 8.1 seconds left.

Flames 5, Blackhawks 1: Johnny Gaudreau had a goal and two assists, Matthew Tkachuk scored for a third straight game and visiting Calgary beat Chicago.

Saturday’s late results

Canucks 5, Kraken 2: Vasily Podkolzin and Nils Hoglander scored first-period goals, Tyler Motte and Conor Garland scored in the third period, and Vancouver stayed hot with a win over at Seattle. Kings 6, Flyers 3: Viktor Arvidsson had two goals and two assists, Todd McLellan earned his 500th win as an NHL coach and host Los Angeles defeated Philadelph­ia.
