Jan. 22 PERRIS Gear Up Bike Ride

The city of Perris invites cyclists to participat­e in its Gear Up Bike Ride at the Lake Perris Loop Trail from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Lake Perris Recreation Area, 17801 Lake Perris Drive. There will be two rides: a 3-mile ride to the dam and a 9-mile loop around the lake. Both rides start from the Bernasconi entrance; helmets required. The Temecula Valley Museum offers its Second Saturday cultural program Saturday, Feb. 12, with activities exploring other cultures. Ongoing VALLEYWIDE Blood donations

Donations of blood and plasma are needed for patients throughout the region. LifeStream continues to host mobile blood drives at various locations as well as collection­s at its regular locations.
