Rev those engines! Monster Energy Supercross, the national indoor dirt bike racing championship, is back after a one-year hiatus and will host its third round of the 2022 edition in San Diego. Head to Petco Park to watch racers — including locals Christian Craig from El Cajon and Dilan Schwartz from Alpine — show off their skills on the obstacle-filled track. Before the competition, folks are invited to show up early for the pre-show FanFest, where guests can take photos, buy gear and get a closer look at how the teams prepare. Dedicated fans can also opt for the VIP Experience package, which features a track walk, a guided tour, ground-level access and more. And if you can’t make the in-person event, the competition will be streamed on Peacock and air on USA Network. FanFest is from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, and the opening ceremonies start at 6:30 p.m. VIP time slots are 2:30, 4:45 or 5 p.m. Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd., East Village. Tea by the Sea: Have tea for a good cause! The fundraiser will start off with cocktails, appetizers and a silent auction, followed by afternoon tea and live music. All proceeds will benefit the Sophie’s Gallery art program at St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center, which offers creative opportunities for disabled adults. 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
