NEW BREAKFAST DISHES AT FIREHOUSE AMERICAN EATERY AND LOUNGE

Executive chef Brian Redzikowsk­i of SDCM restaurant group has debuted several new breakfast items at Firehouse American Eatery and Lounge, the popular Pacific Beach bar and restaurant. Additions include the Firehouse Benny, made with black forest ham and hollandais­e sauce, served on an English muffin with breakfast potatoes; the Chilaquile­s, made with two eggs, house-made salsa, avocado crema, feta cheese, pico de gallo and corn tortillas; the Chocolate Vanilla Cream Pancakes, served with whipped cream, chocolate cookie crumbles and chocolate cream; and the Grilled Balsamic Salmon, served with wild mushroom risotto, asparagus and a balsamic glaze. Shake Shack opens new North County location: Shake Shack has launched its fifth San Diego location with the opening of Shake Shack at The Beacon at La Costa. Other San Diego Shake Shack locations include Little Italy, Mission Valley, Westfield UTC, Del Mar and a soon-to-be-opened downtown location. At the newest location, guests can order digitally through the Shack Track walk-up window. Shake Shack is best known for its burgers, fries and shakes, including classic menu items like the ShackBurge­r, Chick’n Shack, crinkle-cut fries and the SoCal regional burger, the Roadside Double, featuring a double Swiss cheeseburg­er with Dijon mustard and onions simmered in beer.
