ILIZA SHLESINGER IS ‘BACK IN ACTION’ WITH AN ALL-AGES COMEDY SHOW

Comedian Iliza Shlesinger is on the road with her “Back in Action” tour and will perform an all-ages, reschedule­d show in San Diego this weekend. Shlesinger has five comedy specials to her name — including “Elder Millennial” and “Unveiled” — as well as the rom-com movie “Good on Paper” (which she wrote and starred in), a self-titled sketch comedy series, and a latenight talk show (“Truth & Iliza”). In addition to her comedy, Shlesinger’s career includes hosting the TV shows “Excused” and “Separation Anxiety,” writing the book “Girl Logic: The Genius and the Absurdity,” and acting in movies like the 2021 drama “Pieces of a Woman.” In 2008, she became was the first woman, and the youngest comedian, to win “Last Comic Standing.” Aside from touring, Shlesinger’s 2022 plans include taping her sixth comedy special in the summer and releasing her second book in the fall. 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets start at $39.50, with limited VIP packages available. sandiegoth­eatres.org “A Movie Night in Honor of Victor Laruccia”: In honor of the late Victor Laruccia — the former executive director of the San Diego Italian Film Festival, who died in March — SDIFF and the Museum of Photograph­ic Arts will host a special screening of one of his favorite movies, “Mine vaganti (Loose Cannons).”The event also serves as a fundraiser for the film festival; two of Laruccia’s friends have pledged a dollar-for-dollar match in his memory (up to $10,000). 6 p.m. May 13. Reopening of Digital Gym Cinema:

Digital Gym Cinema, which shut the doors of its North Park theater in August 2020, has moved to a new location in downtown San Diego. There will be a grand opening ribbon cutting, celebrator­y toast and red carpet photo ops at 6 p.m. today, followed by free outdoor screenings of family-friendly and youth-produced short films at noon and 2 p.m. Saturday on the courtyard. Additional­ly, ticketed indoor screenings of the drama “Memoria” are scheduled for today through Thursday with 1, 4 and 7 p.m. showtimes; general admission is $12.

An Evening With David Sedaris:

ArtPower at UC San Diego hosts an evening featuring the writer and humorist Davis Sedaris. Final weekend of The Flower Fields: San Diegans have one last chance to visit the seasonal blooms of The Flower Fields in Carlsbad this weekend.
