June 5 TEMECULA Blood drive
VFW Post 4089 will host a mobile blood drive with the San Diego Blood Bank from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at 28075 Diaz Road, in the parking lot. June 6 MURRIETA Dog Tales
The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnership with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. Arrive early to sign up for a 10-minute slot. The library is at 8 Town Square.
June 7 TEMECULA Farmers market

June 9 MURRIETA/WILDOMAR Networking breakfast
The Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly networking breakfast on June 9.
The meeting includes networking from 7:30 to 8 a.m. followed by the regular program at 8 a.m. Cost is $15 for pre-registered members, $25 for pre-registered non-members, $30 at the door for anyone not registered in advance; Soap Box Minute costs $25. Vail Headquarters hosts the Summer Sounds Concert Series, presented in collaboration with Discrete Sounds Studio, Friday nights through August. June 10 MURRIETA Prom Night
The city of Murrieta, Murrieta Rotary and Care Rite will hold the Alternative Recreation Prom Night from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 10, at the Community Center, 41810 Juniper St. Participants will enjoy dinner, music from a DJ and pictures. Wear formal attire and a smile. Reservations are required by June 6, and participants are limited to two guests each. The Temecula Valley Museum is presenting a self-produced exhibit, History in Your Pocket, celebrating the evolution of inventions that are now available on one portable device and illustrates how they have become obsolete thanks to the smartphone. June 13-17, 20-24 TEMECULA Safety Town
Temecula Sunrise Rotary will hold two, five-day interactive programs for children with a focus on safety this month at Pauba Valley Elementary School in Temecula. Safety Town teaches children ages 5 to 8 about subjects such as stranger safety, street and fire safety, and bike and water safety, among others. The program will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. June 13-17 and June 20-24. The cost is $50 per person, $45 for each sibling. Participants will not be turned away because of inability to pay. The monthly Coffee with the City of Wildomar series continues at 8:30 a.m. June 14.
