School of Rock Otay Ranch is holding its free Summer Show from 5 to 9 p.m. July 8 and from 3 to 9 p.m. July 9 at Otay Ranch Town Center, 2015 Birch Road in Chula Vista.

About 130 of the music school’s students will be playing in 10 bands (four bands July 8, six bands July 9). The school puts on live shows every four months. Call (619) 802-7625.

Concerts at Village Walk at EastLake

Village Walk at EastLake is offering free concerts and other events during its “Summer Sundays” series, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Sunday will be live music, local car club displays, special offers from local businesses and children’s activities. Sunday’s performer is Graceland, an Elvis tribute band, and the Porsche Club of America San Diego Chapter will display its autos. Free “Pencil Holder” craft activity for children ages 12 and under, plus face painting and balloon sculptures.

The series ends July 10 with a performanc­e by The Joe Rathburn Band, a visit from the Pickups Limited Car Club and a free “3-D Wooden Animals” craft for the kids.

Village Walk is at EastLake Parkway and Miller Drive in Chula Vista.

Free movies this summer at county parks

The county of San Diego is offering free “2022 Summer Movies in the Park” for the 14th year. Moviegoers can bring a blanket or a lawn chair and a picnic basket.

Showtimes vary; check the full calendar at summermovi­esinthepar­k.com. Free children’s activities before the movie are often available. Coming up: 6:30 p.m. Sunday, “Rookie of the Year” at Sweetwater Summit Regional Park; 6 p.m. July 8, “Encanto” at the Encanto Recreation Center; and 7 p.m. July 8, “The Sandlot” at Robert Egger Sr. South Bay Community Park.
