‘ROBERT XAVIER BURDEN: RELICS’
The Oceanside Museum of Art presents an exhibit of 30 largescale oil paintings based upon both action figures and zoo animals that the artist loved during his childhood. The paintings mix regal images of animals with mass-market cheap superhero figurines. Each of the intricately detailed paintings took from 1,300 to 2,100 hours to paint.
