March 25 MENIFEE Multicultu­ral Festival

The city of Menifee will hold a “Discover the World” Multicultu­ral Festival to promote cultural awareness from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Central Park, 30268 Civic Plaza Drive. The family friendly event will showcase cultural diversity and traditiona­l heritage through live music, dance performanc­es, children’s activities, and food and retail vendors.

March 26 TEMECULA Sunday Funday at Vail HQ

The city of Lake Elsinore and Made Local Market hold their weekly Mornings on Main Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays at City Park, 184 Main St. Shop for locally sourced produce and handmade treasures at the farmers market, and stroll down Historic Downtown Main Street to take in the antique shops, novelty stores, museum and fine dining. March 27 TEMECULA History presentati­on

The Temecula Valley Historical Society will host a presentati­on by Bill Veale on Walter Vail, after whom numerous sites around the area are named, at 6 p.m. Monday, March 27, at the Little Temecula History Center, the red barn near the intersecti­on of Temecula Parkway and Redhawk Parkway. March 27 MURRIETA Dog Tales

The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnershi­p with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading-education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. Arrive early to sign up for a 10-minute slot. The Murrieta Coffee with the City series continues at 8:30 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce hosts an e-waste recycling event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 1 and 2 in the J.C. Penney parking lot at the Promenade Temecula mall, 40820 Winchester Road, Temecula. Items that may be dropped off free of charge include computer monitors, TVs, printers, computers, power supplies, VCR/DVD players and small portable devices. The city of Lake Elsinore will hold its next household hazardous waste drop-off event for city residents from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at 512 N. April 1 PERRIS Easter Bunny photos and egg hunt

Hop on over to the Perris Civic Center, 101 North D St., from 9 to 11:30 a.m. for a series of Easterthem­ed events, including photos with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt. April 1 MENIFEE Spring Fest and park grand opening

The city of Menifee will celebrate the grand opening of Remington Park with a Spring Fest event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 1, at the park, 27101 Junipero Road. Enjoy an “egg-stravagant” morning filled with spring-themed activities including egg hunts by age (12 and under), an inclusive egg hunt (all ages), visits with the Spring Bunny, games, and crafts.

April 4 MURRIETA Touch-a-Truck

The Murrieta Public Library and the Friends of the Murrieta Library will hold a Touch-a-Truck event from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the library 8 Town Square. Participan­ts of the free, all-ages event can tour 15 different trucks and other working vehicles.

April 5-9 MENIFEE Veterans memorial exhibit

“The Wall That Heals,” a traveling exhibit that serves as a mobile replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., will be on display in Menifee April 5- 9 at Miller Jones Menifee Memorial Park, 26770 Murrieta Road. An education center accompanie­s the exhibit, featuring digital photos of “hometown heroes” — Riverside County residents with military service in Vietnam. The exhibit is open to the public; admission is free.

April 7 TEMECULA Coffee Connection
