The city of Lake Elsinore and Made Local Market hold their weekly Mornings on Main Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays at City Park, 184 Main St. Shop for locally sourced produce and handmade treasures at the farmers market, and stroll down Historic Downtown Main Street to take in the antique shops, novelty stores, museum and fine dining. Sept. 11 MURRIETA Dog Tales
The Murrieta Public Library holds its Dog Tales program at 4:30 p.m. Mondays, except holidays. The program, in partnership with Love on a Leash, provides trained reading-education assistance dogs for children ages 3 to 12 to read to. The library is at 8 Town Square.
Sept. 11 VALLEYWIDE 9/11 Remembrances
Residents are invited to gather on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks to honor those who gave their lives to serve and protect.
The city of Temecula ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial at Duck Pond Park, 28250 Ynez Road. Light music and refreshments will be provided following the program.
The city of Murrieta remembrance will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at Town Square Park & Amphitheater, 11 Town Square.
Sept. 12 TEMECULA Farmers market

The Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly networking breakfast on Sept. 14. Sept. 16 LAKE ELSINORE Mariachi Fest
The third annual Mariachi Fest at the Lake Elsinore Diamond will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, featuring live mariachi and ballet folklorico performance, food and craft vendors and a Mezcal and tequila expo. Sept. 16 TEMECULA Way Out West Fest
Charity for Charity will host the Way Out West Fest fundraiser at Peltzer Family Cellars on Saturday, Sept. 16. The day fest for all ages will be from noon to 5 p.m. and will feature live music, steer riding, mutton busting, face painting, a food truck alley and more. Tickets for the day fest cost $5 for ages 3 to 12, and $10 for those 13 and older. In the evening, Frankie Ballard will headline the Pure Country Hoedown, which will be from 6 to 10 p.m. The hoedown is for ages 18 and older; tickets cost $75 in advance or $100 at the gate, and include entry to the day fest. Sept. 25 TEMECULA Genealogy research
The Temecula Valley Historical Society will host the second half of a free, two-part presentation by Laurice Johnson, an avid genealogist and active member of the Temecula Valley Genealogical Society, on how to “Get Ready to Get Started” for people interested in starting to trace their family trees, on Sept. 25. The presentation will begin at 6 p.m. and will be at the Little Temecula History Center at the corner of Redhawk Parkway and Wolf Store Road.
