OLD GLOBE HOSTS POWERS NEW VOICES FESTIVAL

The Old Globe presents its annual festival of readings of four new American plays this weekend. They include the Globe-commission­ed “Pleasant” by Inda Craig-Galván at 7:30 p.m. Saturday; “The Hispanic/Latino/Latina/ Latinx/Latine Vote” by Bernardo Cubría at 4 p.m. Jan. 14; the Globe-commission­ed “Empty Ride” by Keiko Green at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 14; and “Emerson Loses Her ‘Miand’” by Laura Winters at 4 p.m. Saturday.
