James “Jim” F. Haugh

Born June 3, 1938 in Oakland CA. Passed away peacefully, and unexpected­ly, September 9, 2018 in San Rafael, CA. Jim had suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease for the past four years. Husband to Jeanne Christense­n Haugh for 52 years. Father to Elizabeth Haugh Kiernan (Thomas Kiernan) and James Haugh Jr (Antoinette Chavez Haugh). Grandfathe­r to Bridget Kiernan, Brendan Kiernan, and Carmen Haugh. Predecease­d by his parents Thomas and Mary Haugh, his brother Fr Solano, OFM, and his sister Sr Thomas Anne, CSC. Jim was proud to be from East Oakland and loved the Oakland A’s. He was a graduate of St. Elizabeth’s High School and the University of San Francisco. Jim retired from the Social Security Administra­tion with 25 years of service, and the California Department of Transporta­tion with 12 years of service.

The family would like to thank Tina, Nancy, and the staff at Schon Hyme Carehome for the loving care provided to Jim at the end of his life. And Jen, Dana and all the staff of Senior Access in San Rafael. Jim was an enthusiast­ic member of The Club where he became an artist at the end of his years.

Friends are invited to the Funeral Mass on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:30am at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Novato, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Senior Access, 70 Skyview Terrace, Bldg B, San Rafael CA 94903, or www. senioracce­ss.org.
