Irwin H. Cohn

Irwin passed away peacefully in his sleep last Saturday, September 15, 2018, in Portland, Oregon. Irwin is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Mitzi Cohn, and his children Jeffrey Cohn (Denise) and Barbara Cohen (Stuart). He is also survived by his four grandchildren; Renee Nickenig (Karl), Aaron Cohn, William Cohen, and Caroline Cohen.

Irwin was born in Seattle, Washington in 1930, to Julius and Nettie Cohn. Irwin graduated from the University of Washington in 1952, where he served as chapter president of Zeta Beta Tau. In 1954 he moved to San Francisco where he met his wife, Mitzi, and built his family, life, and business.

Irwin and Mitzi spent their later years in Palm Desert, California, enjoying the warmth and sunshine with their loving dogs and many friends. His life will be celebrated privately with family in the coming weeks.
