It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our daughter, Jennifer Ann D’Ambrosio, 40 yrs. She died of natural causes while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas. Jennifer was born in Livermore, California to Robert and Diane D’Ambrosio- (Yribarren). She was raised in the Danville area where she attended Diablo Valley College, San Francisco State and Dominican College. She loved school and the challenge of academics, earning her two MASTERS degrees. She was in the process of getting her “dream job”. Jennifer was known for her quick wit, sense of humor, infectious smile and her very kind and compassionate spirit. She would light up a room! Jennifer loved traveling and gourmet food, although she couldn’t cook. She was lucky when she met the man she fell in love with, Nick Opitz, who happened to be a “chef”. He spoiled her with his cooking.

Jennifer spent a lot of time living with her French grandparents, Ernestine and Noel Petitou,(who preceded in death). With their help she thrived into learning about her French culture and travels to Europe.

She especially loved her French side of the family, her Aunt, Jean (Olivia) Harris-Johnson, Aunt Claudie (Jean) Chourre and Aunt Georgette Fanfelle. The time spent with her cousins, Nadine (Rob ,Dominique) Springett, Viviane (Don, Jon, Maddie) Ago, Joel (Jackie, Haley, Kayla, Christopher) Fanfelle, Yves (Dawn, Christian) Fanfelle. Predeceased Christine (Jim) McNamee.

Jennifer was lucky to be guided in life by several stepparents and stepbrothers. Jan (Micheal) D’Ambrosio, Teresa D’Ambrosio (Annabelle Henderson), Eugene (Micheal) Layes and James Yribarren (who preceded her in death). Along with her new friend, Oscar Medina. Jennifer had so many amazing friends in her lifetime, too many to mention. On Saturday, November 10th at 10am there will be a viewing at Christ the King Church in Pleasant Hill, CA. This will be followed by a Mass at 10:30am and then a reception. Additional information at www.traditioncare.com

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to favorite charity or animal rescue in particular to rabbit causes. She loved her rabbit, Jojo.

No child should go before the parent, hug yours. Arrangements under the care of TraditionCare Funeral Services of Pleasant Hill.
