What brings me joy is the opportunity to pause and to talk with seniors, especially Black seniors, older adults who are queer or trans identified. I get really recharged from their level of, “Oh we’ve seen this, we’re going to get through this, too.” There’s this sense of presence and grounding and hope. I don’t know where they find it!
