Deadhead pool party:
The Summer of Love may have actually started in 1966, not ‘67, at a party in a rundown Novato estate rented by the Grateful Dead. Herbie Greene was the only photographer to capture the scene, and his photos are being featured at a new exhibit at the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art. “Marin’s Rock Art Scene” opens Sept. 12.
