GrantFoster, Kansas take charge
Tyon GrantFoster drove for the goahead basket with about a minute to go then swatted away a layup with 10 seconds left as seventhranked Kansas escaped with a 6561 victory over visiting North Dakota State on Saturday.
Jalen Wilson had 14 points and Ochai Agbaji added 13, including a free throw in the final seconds that helped the Jayhawks (41) finish a 70 run to end the game.
Kansas trailed 6160 when GrantFoster scored on an easy layup. North Dakota State (04) turned it over with an offensive foul and then, after two free throws by Christian Braun, GrantFoster made his defensive play to help preserve the comeback win.
#10 Houston 77, South Carolina 67: Quentin Grimes had 23 points and seven rebounds, Tramon Mark added 18 points and the Cougars (4-0) rallied at home. Grimes scored 19 in the second half, 12 of 13 from the foul line. The Gamecocks (1-2) missed 12 of 29 free throws.
Arizona 70, Eastern Washington
67: Salesian-Richmond alum James Akinjo scored 15 points, Dalen Terry had a steal and the clinching free throws with five seconds left, and the Wildcats (2-0) won at home. The Eagles (0-2) had a chance when Tanner Groves converted a three-point play with 41 seconds left.

South Florida 67, #6 Mississippi State 63: Elisa Pinzan scored two of her 14 points on late free throws in overtime as the Bulls (2-1) beat the Bulldogs (2-1) in Tampa. Bethy Mununga hit two free throws with 28.9 seconds left in OT to give South Florida a 65-63 lead.
