Dolly Adeline Talaga passed away November 11, 2020 in her home on Nob Hill in San Francisco, just one week after celebrating her 89th birthday.

Dolly was known throughout San Francisco ( and the world) as an entertaining story teller, world traveler and giver of quirky gifts. She was born in Manitoba, Canada on November 4, 1931 to Anna and Joseph M. Talaga. Dolly had two siblings: Nicholas “Handsome Nick” Talaga and Augustine Nichols. She is survived by her nieces and nephews in Canada: Justine Nichols, Jeffrey Nichols, Bradley Nichols, Jayson Talaga, Kimberly Talaga and Christopher Talaga, as well as their families; and her twice- removed first cousin Marisa Bradley of Mill Valley and her family.

Dolly’s adventurous spirit led her to a long and successful career in the cruise industry, where she travelled the world while collecting stories, friends and memorabilia. But she always came back to the City by the Bay.

When she retired from the cruising industry, Dolly spent her time supporting her favorite causes in San Francisco. Whether it was the SF Foreign Film Festival, The North Beach Citizen Alliance or one of the many social events she attended, Dolly always brought a sparkle and laughter to the room.

Please send any “In Memory” Donations in Dolly’s name to Next Village SF, a neighborhood nonprofit providing services and support that empower members to live independently in their own homes as they age. https:// nextvillagesf. org/ donate- 2/
