Antioch High alum Najee Harris scored five touchdowns and Mac Jones threw five TD passes as the Crimson Tide

( 11- 0) beat the Gators ( 8- 3) in the SEC championsh­ip game in New Orleans. Harris, who had 31 carries for 178 yards, scored on runs of 8 and 1 yards. He added five catches for 67 yards, including TD grabs of 7, 23 and 17 yards. His 54 career TDs are a school record.

# 3 Ohio State 22, # 15 Northweste­rn 10: In Indianapol­is, Trey Sermon ran for a school- record 331 yards and two second- half touchdowns as the Buckeyes ( 6- 0) defeated the Wildcats ( 6- 2) to win the Big Ten championsh­ip for the fourth year in a row. Ohio State will find out Sunday if it receives one of four College Football Playoff spots.

# 5 Texas A& M 34, Tennessee 13: Kellen Mond threw for 281 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 59 yards and a score to help the Aggies ( 8- 1) beat the host Volunteers ( 3- 7). Afterward, Texas A& M head coach Jimbo Fisher made the case for the Aggies to be in the FBC playoffs. “Seven straight SEC wins. Some schools ain’t even playing seven games,” Fisher said. “I don’t care what league you’re in. If you’re going to pick the best four teams, we’re one of them.”

# 6 Cincinnati 27, # 20 Tulsa 24: Cole Smith kicked a 31- yard field goal on the game’s final play as the host Bearcats ( 9- 0) edged the Golden Hurricane

( 6- 2) in the American Athletic Conference championsh­ip game.

# 12 Oklahoma 27, # 8 Iowa State 21: In Arlington, Texas, Spencer Rattler threw a 45- yard touchdown pass to Marvin Mims and ran for a score as the Sooners ( 8- 2) beat the Cyclones ( 8- 3) to win a sixth consecutiv­e Big 12 title.

Other games: Ty Jordan ran for 154 yards and three touchdowns as host Utah ( 3- 2) won 45- 28 over Washington State ( 1- 3). ... Jakobi Buchanan scored on a 1- yard run with 73 seconds left and Army ( 9- 2) rallied for a 10- 7 win over Air Force ( 3- 3) in West Point, N. Y., to win the Commander- in- Chief’s Trophy for the ninth time.

New job: Illinois hired Bret Bielema as its head coach. He succeeds Lovie Smith.
