Amy Louise Chambers, of San Francisco, passed peacefully on Oct 5, at the home of her loving parents, Paul and Melody Chambers, in Highland, CA.

Born in Springfield, MA, on Jan 3, 1971, it was clear at an early age that Amy had the ability to effortlessly create beauty in the physical world around her. In 1990, she graduated from Forest Lake Academy, FL. Amy went on to achieve a Bachelor of Technology at Andrews University with a customized emphasis in fashion design and studied abroad in Collonges- sousSaleve where she became fluent and fell in love with all things French. She began her career as a graphic designer in DC, working for The US conference of Mayors.

Ultimately following her dream, Amy chose San Francisco as her home in 2000. Always original, she created a name for herself, literally and figuratively, as “Silver Lucy.” Her brand, Silver Lucy Design ranged from inspired underground festival- wear to sophisticated runway looks. Silver had the gift of giving others the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone through style and color. She shared her craft with her community not only through fashion but also teaching knitting classes, making unique art and jewelry and showcasing her prowess through her work in styling, staging and transforming interiors with custom murals under yet another pseudonym, Lucy d’Argent. Blending her art with a passion for philanthropy, Lucy was a cornerstone designer and 11- year volunteer for Beats for Boobs, an annual fundraising fashion gala promoting breast cancer awareness.

Silver Lucy was intelligent, a true beauty, a glamorous muse, a creator, a doer, a storyteller, a wordsmith, a quick- witted jokester, and a kind, generous spirit who shared her light while casting sparkles everywhere she went.

Amy “Silver Lucy” is survived by her parents Paul and Melody, Uncle Jim, Aunt Ruth, cousin Kate- Marie, goddaughters Ivy and Petra, and her beloved cat Bianca Leblanc.

The family thanks Barbara Sharp Melton for being the best friend a family could wish for, Mandy Doll for traveling cross- country to be with her best friend till the end, Magaly and Terry Newmyer and Amy’s SF community for the incredible outpouring of love and support throughout her life and during her battle with ovarian cancer.

A virtual memorial will be held in memory of Amy’s life and what would have been her 50th birthday on Jan 3, 2021. Join us in observing a moment of silence in honor of her spirit at 11: 11 am & pm. She will be dearly missed and remains close in our hearts until we meet again on the VIP dance floor in the sky!

The Silver Lucy Art Foundation, dedicated to supporting female artists, will be accepting donations later in 2021.
