Bonnie J. Augusta

Bonnie J. Augusta, 80, of San Francisco, California, went to home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 8, 2021.

She was born in Pulaski, Illinois on August 25, 1940. She resided in Cleveland, Ohio for 21 years before moving to San Francisco and graduated from John Hay High School. Bonnie was married to Sterling Augusta Jr., and had two children, Rosemary (Reed) Williams and Sterling Augusta III who all preceded her in death.

Bonnie was employed for 29 years with the Postal Service as a Mail Carrier. Her love for writing poems resulted in the publication of a book, “From God’s Heart to Your Heart…Inspirational Poems for the Mind, Body & Soul.

Bonnie was a member of Oakland Greater New Bethel Baptist Church and is survived by grandchildren, Brandy Reed, Crystal Williams, Delcha Augusta, Sterling Augusta IV, Paris Augusta and two dear and loving friends, Lynn Caraway and Robbie Thornton.

Private viewing and funeral services will be held at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City CA 94014.
