Lightning score four in 2nd, top Panthers

Tyler Johnson scored two of Tampa Bay’s four goals in the second period and the Lightning turned the tables on host Florida with a 61 victory Saturday night after losing to the Panthers earlier in the week.

Ondrej Palat, Mathieu Joseph and Barclay Goodrow scored, Alexander Volkov added his first NHL goal and the Lightning strengthen­ed their hold on first place in the Central Division with a 310 trip.

The Lightning killed off four Florida power plays, and Andrei Vasilevski­y stopped 33 shots to run his record to 921. A thirdperio­d goal by Frank Vatrano spoiled Vasilevski­y’s shutout bid.

Blues 5, Coyotes 4: Mike Hoffman beat goalie Antti Raanta with a wrist shot 1:49 into overtime to give St. Louis a victory over host Arizona in the sixth of seven straight games between the teams.

The teams played four straight games in St. Louis, with Arizona winning the last three. The Blues won 41 on Friday in Arizona and tied the series 33 Saturday. The teams will finish off the longest regularsea­son series in NHL history Monday in Arizona.

Islanders 4, Bruins 2: Mathew Barzal’s powerplay goal in the third period snapped a tie as host New York ended Boston’s 10game point streak.

JeanGabrie­l Pageau scored twice and Semyon Varlamov made 28 saves as the Islanders extended their point streak to six games (303). Jordan Eberle also had a goal and an assist and Leo Komarov chipped in with two assists.

Hurricanes 4, Stars 3: Vincent Trocheck scored the only goal in the shootout as Carolina won at Dallas, improving to 40 against the defending Western Conference champions.

The Stars, who forced overtime when former Sharks captain Joe Pavelski scored his ninth goal of the season with 40 seconds left in the third, have one win in eight games since sweeping a fourgame homestand to start the season.

Blackhawks 3, Blue Jackets 2: Alex DeBrincat scored 35 seconds into overtime to lift host Chicago past Columbus.

The Blackhawks forced overtime when Carl Soderberg scored his first goal of the season with 3:45 left in the third.

Red Wings 4, Predators 2: Luke Glendennin­g had a goal and two assists, Jonathan Bernier made 21 saves and Detroit beat host Nashville.

Bernier, who hadn’t started since Jan. 28 because of an upperbody injury, is 31 for a Red Wings squad that is 4102 this season.

Senators 2, Jets 1: Brady Tkachuk tipped in Mike Reilly’s shot with 8.2 seconds remaining as Ottawa beat host Winnipeg for the first time in five meetings this season.

Canadiens 2, Maple Leafs 1: Brendan Gallagher scored the tiebreakin­g goal with 3:07 left, Carey Price made 21 saves and Montreal won in Toronto.

Canucks 3, Flames 1: Elias Pettersson snapped a tie at 14:49 of the third period and host Vancouver beat Calgary for the first time in four meetings to end a sixgame losing streak.

Briefly: Ottawa acquired forward Ryan Dzingel from Carolina for forwards Alex Galchenyuk and Cedric Paquette . ... Arizona forward Johan Larsson was suspended for two games for a check to the head of St. Louis’ Zach Sanford on Friday.
