Lisa Diane Turk passed away peacefully on January 12, 2021 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease and Diabetes, complicate­d by Covid 19. She was born in Tacoma, Washington on November 21st 1941. Lisa married her great love David Klipstein Turk March 25th, 1967, who preceded her in death in 2002. Lisa and David met at The University of Michigan prior to making their home in Marin County California.

Lisa had a thirty-year career in law enforcemen­t as a Deputy Parole Officer. Her husband David was a pilot and flight instructor and he also had a long career in law enforcemen­t. Above all, Lisa and David had a passion for life. They are now together in peace and happiness.

Lisa was also a concert level flautist and taught flute lessons on the weekends from her home for many years. Lisa’s home was filled with music and it brought the family much joy. Her children remember her playing the flute, with a dance in her step, at their home in Marin under a canopy of oak trees. Lisa loved the writings of Joseph Campbell, Ralph Waldo Emerson and Maya Angelou. Russian authors Tolstoy and Solzhenits­yn were also two of her favorites.

Lisa loved life, her family and laughed much and often. She and her husband are both well remembered for their wonderful senses of humor. They brought much joy to this world. Lisa is survived by her daughter and son.

Lisa will be terribly missed by all of her family and friends. She left this world a better place.
