His soul passed peacefully of natural causes at UCSF. Native of Nekoosa, WI, resident of San Francisco since 1947. Served in the Navy on the USS Shangri-La in Operation Crossroads. Met and married Mary Cruz in S.F. in 1948. They raised 6 children at 735 Madrid St. in The Excelsior. Ordained a minister in 1958, and was Pastor of the S.F. congregati­on for the R.L.D.S. Church. A loving and devoted father and provider. His long work history includes P.G.&E., auto mechanic, Prudential insurance agent, owner of The Avalon Shop in The Mission, Teamster driver for Super Shuttle, and finally, drove for Yellow Cab. Fully retired by Jan. 2011 at the age of 81. Survived by children Glen, Janet, and son-in-law Ron Ramos, Grandchild­ren Tanya, Ursula, Audrey Niya, Helena Rae, and step-grandson Ron Ramos Jr., and his family, Great-Grandchild­ren

Jeanette, Nia, Savina, Zayna, Christian, ShelbyLynd­a, Destyn, Avyn, and step-gr. grandson Delano

Jr., Great-Great Grandchild­ren Rae-Lynda “Kyrah”, Quincy, and Penelope,

wife Martha, and their adopted son and greatnephe­w Adrian Oscar Holden, siblings Frances, and Dewey, and loving relatives from Wisconsin. Predecease­d by parents Herbert L. Holden, and Agnes A. Byers Holden, first wife Mary Cruz Holden, children Daniel, Linda, Randie, and Scott,
