Michael Williams

Michael Williams died peacefully in Kaiser Hospital on July13, 2021 in Oakland, California at the age of 77.

Michael is survived by his wife, Sharon Williams of Windsor, CA, Daughter Tanya Williams of San Ramon, CA, daughter Cindy Straup of Vancouver, WA, Cathy Mullins of Oakdale, CA, Stepsons, Scott Sammons of Redwood City, CA, Todd Sammons of Stockton, CA, Stepdaughter Stephanie Villalpando of Forney, Texas. He had 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren He is preceded in death by mother, Fern Martin of Stockton, two brothers Ernie Williams of Carmel, CA, and Duke Williams of Stockton, CA. Michael was born on February 4, 1944 in Stockton, CA to Fern Martin. He graduated from Stagg High School in 1962, and Stanislaus state with a degree in History. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era as a Communication Specialist. He worked for the State of California, Dept of Health for 30 years.

Michael loved traveling, photography, working in the yard. He was an avid SF Giants and SF 49er fan. He was a lifetime member of The American Legion Post. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 11am at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church 2544 Plymouth Road Stockton, Ca 95204, with a reception to follow at The Amblers Club Stockton, CA. Burial will be Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery 5810 Midway Rd. Dixon, CA 95620 at 11:30am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate.
