San Francisco Chronicle - (Sunday)

Seahawks (1-2) at 49ers (2-1)

Spotlight on: DE Nick Bosa: The Pro Bowl pass rusher said he “felt sorry” for himself during last week’s loss to the Packers. That was because Green Bay was able to neutralize him in the final three quarters with chip blocks from tight ends and running backs. It was notable that Bosa avoided an outside block and got inside pressure when he ran a stunt on one snap during Green Bay’s final drive. On Thursday, Bosa openly wondered why the 49ers didn’t try such tactics more frequently to help him avoid the extra attention. It would be a surprise if the 49ers aren’t more creative in how they deploy Bosa on Sunday when he will face his toughest matchup of the season: Pro Bowl left tackle Duane Brown.

Injury notes: 49ers — CB Josh Norman (lung contusion) is doubtful; TE George Kittle (calf), RB Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) and DT Javon Kinlaw (knee) are questionable. Seahawks — Starting RT Brandon Shell (ankle) is out; WR Tyler Lockett (hip) is questionable, but he is expected to play.

WHAT TO WATCH

The 49ers and Seahawks have combined for three takeaways, two by Seattle. Sixteen teams had at least four takeaways in the first three weeks. The 49ers haven’t allowed a 100-yard rusher in their past 23 games, the longest active streak in the NFL. The Seahawks have allowed a 100-yard rusher in each of their past two games (Tennessee’s Derrick Henry: 182 yards; Minnesota’s Alexander Mattison: 112). Seahawks QB Russell Wilson has a 14-4 record and has thrown 32 TD passes and 9 INTs in his career against the 49ers.
