Injury woes continue to hamper Seahawks

-

The Seattle Seahawks will be without starting left guard Damien Lewis and running backs Rashaad Penny and Travis Homer on Monday night at Washington.

The Seahawks (3-7) have lost five of seven since beating the 49ers on Oct. 3 to fall to last in the NFC West. Quarterback Russell Wilson, who turns 33 on Monday, is 0-2 as a starter since returning after missing three games with an injured finger that required surgery.

After Monday night’s game, the Seahawks host the 49ers.

Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Saturday that Lewis hyperextended his elbow in last Sunday’s loss to Arizona. The Seahawks will also be without reserve offensive lineman Jamarco Jones (back), meaning Kyle Fuller and Phil Haynes are the likely candidates to fill in for Lewis.

Penny suffered a hamstring strain on the first play of last week’s game against Arizona.

Homer, a third-down running back and special teams contributor, is out with a calf injury.
