Nardine Marie Spadaro, 91 years of age, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Sonoma Valley Hospital. Nardine was born on October 18, 1930 in Marettimo, Sicily to the late Maria and Sebastiano Aliotti. She came to America in 1935 where she passed through Ellis Island before settling in San Francisco to fulfill the American dream. She was the eldest of two siblings and leaves behind her beloved sister, Antoinette Aliotti Torrente.

Nardine attended Galileo High School and graduated in 1948. In 1950 she married the late Albert John Spadaro, the love of her life. Together they had five wonderful children: Florence (1951-1958), Marialena DeVolder (Jeanot), Vincent Spadaro, Paul Spadaro (Meghan), and Florie Vasquez (Robert). From their four living children came ten grandchild­ren, who were the light of her life: Albert Spadaro, Michael DeVolder, Paul Spadaro, Ryan DeVolder, Richard Spadaro, Joseph Spadaro, Anthony Vasquez, Gianna Vasquez, Vincent Spadaro and Sebastian Spadaro. Nardine’s children, grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends will miss her and cherish her in their memories forever.

Nardine loved to cook and entertain all who came into her life. She was always ready to host and welcome anyone and everyone into her home with a warm smile and plenty of food. She was very passionate about her traditiona­l Italian pastries and was well known for her Sicilian cannolis. Nardine was a strong leader and devoted participan­t in her community, known and loved by all those who she touched. Her family was her heart and she, our heart beat. We will miss her all the days of our lives.

A Vigil/Rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 7pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary. Her funeral mass will be on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 10am at Holy Angels Church in Daly City.
