Broncos to honor Thomas

-

The Denver Broncos will honor receiver Demaryius Thomas, who died Thursday night in his suburban Atlanta home at the age of 33, before Sunday's home game agianst the Detroit Lions.

Broncos players will wear a No. 88 decal on their helmet — Thomas' uniform number —and there will be a painted ‘88' logo on Denver's sideline.

On Saturday, Denver activated three players from injured reserve, including cornerback Bryce Callahan.

Callahan has been on injured reserve since Nov. 3 due to a knee injury. Denver also activated inside linebacker Micah Kiser (groin) and cornerback Michael Ojemudia (hamstring) from IR.

Callahan has 21 tackles, one sack and four passes defensed thus season. Ojemudia has been sidelined since hurting his hamstring in a preseason game on Aug. 21 at Seattle. He went on injured reserve on Sept. 2.

The team also placed outside linebacker Malik Reed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Reed has five sacks for the Broncos this season along with two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. The Lions have seven players on the COVID list.

Titans activate Jones: The Tennessee Titans activated wide receiver Julio Jones from injured reserve, clearing the way for him to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jones hasn't played since Nov. 7 due to a hamstring injury. He has 21 catches for 336 yards and no touchdowns in the six games he has played this season.

The return of Jones gives the Titans' offense some help as they deal with the absences of receiver A.J. Brown and running back Derrick Henry. Brown went on injured reserve Nov. 27. Henry also is on IR and hasn't played since Oct. 31 as he recovers from surgery on his right foot.

In other moves, the Titans activated safety Dane Cruikshank and wide receiver Racey McMath from IR, placed tight end Tommy Hudson on IR and waived safety Brady Breeze. Briefly: Ahead of a Sunday night game with the Bears at Lambeau Field, the Packers activated linebacker De'Vondre Campbell from the reserve/ COVID-19 list on and placed wide receiver Randall Cobb (unspecified injury) on injured reserve . ... The Dolphins placed running back Salvon Ahmed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, becoming the second Miami running back (after Myles Gaskin) in as many days on the list.
