Kathleen Ann Brick

-

Kathleen passed peacefully in her sleep on January 19, 2021 at her home in San Francisco, in which she resided for the past 67 years, at the sprite age of 93. Born in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland, Kathleen was the daughter of Tom Brick and Bridget (O’Sullivan) Brick. Kathleen immigrated to San Francisco in 1954 and joined her extended O’Sullivan family in Visitacion Valley becoming a member of the Church of the Visitacion parish. Kathleen had a strong devotion to her Catholic Religion and to the Blessed Mother.

Kathleen’s career spanned over forty years as an exemplary employee of the Emporium in the capacity as a master seamstress.

She was everything IRISH and enjoyed nothing more than to hear Irish music playing and watching an Irish jig while tapping her foot. Her wonderful laughter and Irish brogue is still heard quite vividly to us.

Kathleen is survived by her sisters Mary O’Sullivan, Anna Moore and Elly Lawler; a special niece, Eileen O’Sullivan. She also leaves numerous grand and great grand nieces and nephews all of whom reside in Ireland. She will be missed by her nieces Susan Grant, Micheala Grant and nephew Michael Grant all of San Francisco as well as nephew Arnold Rystad of Idaho. She will always be remembered by a host of additional relatives and friends both in Ireland and in California. Kathleen also held a special place in her heart for friends Kathleen and Margaret McHugh. Kathleen was predeceased by Uncle Jack O’Sullivan and wife Minnie (Deasy) O’Sullivan, their children and Kathleen’s cousins Billy and Danny O’Sullivan and Kathleen Rystad.

Please join our family in a gathering for a Celebration of Life honoring Kathleen’s one year anniversary on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 2:00 in the afternoon with Father Thuan Hong presiding. Mass will be held at The Church of the Visitacion located at 655 Sunnydale Avenue, San Francisco.
