Scott Joseph White

July 22, 1981 - December 26, 2021

-

Our hearts are broken. On December 26, 2021 our beloved Scott passed away peacefully at home after a short, but fierce battle with renal cell carcinoma. He had never given up hope and fought with incredible courage.

His is survived by his ever-faithful mother Pauline White, loving brother Thomas White, his devoted sister Rebecca Anderson and brother-in-law Steven Anderson, his adored niece Amelia Anderson and his father Jerome Epstein. He was a very proud Godfather to his close cousin Eric Bickel’s son, Landon. He is also survived by a large family circle who loved him deeply and absolutely, including his 19 aunts and uncles, 26 first cousins and 29 second cousins.

Scott’s passions were hiking in the backcountry of Yosemite and photography – especially of the many national parks he visited. He loved to photograph the incredible night sky of national parks as well (no matter how cold it was). He was fortunate to have been able to visit and photograph Ireland – from Dublin, to the Giant’s Causeway in the North, to beautiful Dingle Bay and Killarney.

Scott was an amazing artist – metal sculpting, acrylic tables and paintings. Scott’s other passion was his job. He was a proud team member of the Martin Sign Company in San Francisco. He felt part of the Martin Sign Company family. He was able to combine his natural artistic ability with his work, which is a rare combination. He was always willing to lend a hand to help anyone in need both at work and at home.

We will miss him every day and will never be the same without his shy, dry wit and his deep love of his family. One of his favorite phrases was, “See ya”. Yes, Scott we will “See ya”. Donations can be made to the Yosemite Conservancy or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
