Resident of Moraga Bev Thompson passed away February 16th. She will be dearly missed as a most loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend!

Bev was born in Bluffton, IN, the daughter of C. S. Budge Mead and Aileen Lorraine Mead. Bev graduated from Bluffton High School after a most active youth. Bev then earned a B.S. degree in education at Indiana University where she was again most active including Pi Beta Phi sorority president and I. U. Union Board.

After graduation Bev taught one year in Ossian, IN.

Bev is survived by her husband of 59 years, Dick. They met at I. U. and married a year after graduation. Bev then taught and became Dean of Girls at Wilson Jr. High in Columbus, IN where Dick was involved in the Thompson family milk and ice cream business. In 1968, Bev and Dick moved to southern CA with Dick’s joining Coldwell Banker. There, Bev was Dean of Girls at Las Virgenes Middle School.

In 1975, with Dick’s transfer to the CBRE Oakland office, the family moved to Moraga and began their most enjoyable time and many friendship­s in the

Lamorinda area. Bev’s involvemen­t included Moraga Education Foundation, P.E.O., Stanford Book Club and LOPC.

Besides Dick, Bev is survived by son, Erich (Tami) of La Conner, WA and daughter, Nanette Nicholson (Jeff) of Atlanta, GA and by grandchild­ren Conner and Kristi Thompson and by Jackson and Katie Nicholson. Bev was predecease­d by her sister, Tisha Paulson (Dick).

A celebratio­n of Bev’s life with be April 23rd at 4:30 PM at Lafayette-Orinda Presbyteri­an Church with reception to follow.
