Marilyn Wilson
Marilyn Gail (Milward) Wilson died March 21, 2022 after a decades-long battle with Huntington’s Disease. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, and friend whose indomitable spirit inspired all.
Marilyn was born to the late Peter and Pat Milward and spent her early years in Menlo Park, graduating from Woodside High School. While attending College of San Mateo she met her future husband, Bill Wilson. She married Bill in 1968. Marilyn graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in sociology and began a career with the County of San Mateo Social Services Division while she and Bill made their home in San Francisco. They moved to Mill Valley in 1979. Daughter Colleen was born in 1982. Marilyn was a woman of uncommon charm and loveliness, with an extroverted nature that built friendships wherever she went. She loved travel, laughter, music, mysteries, horses, Giants baseball, and the outdoors. She was always there when a friend or neighbor needed a helping hand.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Bill, her daughter Colleen Bradley (Mark), and brothers Steve and Richard. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jeff.
The family thanks the wonderful staff at Marin Convalescent and Rehabilitation Hospital for the kind and patient care they gave Marilyn for over ten years.
A celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held in late June. The family may be contacted for further information. Please consider making a donation the the Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Ave., Suite 902, NY, NY 10018 in her honor.
