Martha “Bunny” Barrera

-

Martha Alex Barrera, a loving mother, proud grandmother, caring sister, giving aunt and dear friend to many passed suddenly on May 22, 2022, at age 69. “Bunny”, as everyone knew her, was born on Easter Day April 5, 1953, in San Francisco to Mary and Norman Alex. Bunny was proud of her San Francisco heritage. She often stood up for what she believed in and like-it or leave-it, Bunny always gave her opinions.

Bunny crocheted, collected rabbit figurines, and loved the Giants and 49ers. She was known to quickly befriend others, creating a welcoming home to neighbors, friends, and family. Holidays often played host to anyone that needed holiday cheer.

Bunny was a proud ‘Mimi’ who leaves behind her son Brian, daughter-in-law

Wendy, sister Michele, niece Tamar and her much-adored grandchildren, Charlee and Tanner. Her grandchildren were her world. She’d often be found reading them books, playing with them, and spoiling them as much as she could.

She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Joseph “Buz” Orengo, Jr. passed away suddenly on 6/15/2022. Beloved husband of Lynn (Sweeney) Orengo for 41 years. Father of Ashley “Punky Dunk” (Jay) Quinn, Joe “Baccigalupi” (Raquel) and Daniel “Unit” Orengo; grandfather of James and Matthew Quinn and Olivia Jo Orengo; brother of Joanne Gramlich, Linda (Jerry) Hellett and Albie (Linda Marie) Orengo; son of the late Joe and Alma Orengo; brotherin-law to Debi (John) Ropp, uncle to many nieces and nephews that he loved.

Retired after 30 years with SFFD. He loved going to Boulder Creek, playing with his trains, listening to music, enjoying quick pops, and spending time with family and friends. He was a San Francisco native, a big Giants and 49er fan. Buddy

Buz was always the life of the party and the most passionate and positive person in the room. He had a way of making a connection with everyone he met and he will certainly live on through us all.

Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life, Saturday, June 25th, 2022 at 12:30pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City. A reception will follow.
