Dorothy Gloria Palmisano age 99, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born in San Francisco on November 17, 1922, to the late Henry and Eleanor Musso. Dorothy began working for her family business Commercial Building Maintenanc­e in 1939 and eventually became CEO in 1973 before her retirement in 1986. She was an active member and a treasurer of the Children’s Home Society for many years. Dorothy was a 49er Faithfull in ticket holder since 1952. She loves spending time in her garden, cooking, reading and playing cards. Dorothy also enjoyed golf and travel with her longtime companion, Jim Lombard. Her kindness, generosity, strength and loving spirit will be missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Palmisano, daughter Carol Carlson and sister Valentine Palmisano.

She is survived by her sister Claire Rossi, her sons Robert Palmisano and David Palmisano, daughterin-law Rebecca Palmisano and longtime friend and companion Josie Cobb. She was a loving Grandmothe­r

to six Grandchild­ren (Diana Wallace partner Kirk McLeland; Jim Palmisano wife Dulce; Laura Puentes husband Corey Puentes; Brian Carlson wife Christina; Jason Carlson wife Whitney and Jennifer Carlson partner Mikah Lowerison. She is survived by 16 Great Grandchild­ren and three Great-Great Grandchild­ren.

She was a truly remarkable woman.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Peninsula Humane Society and Bay Area Cancer foundation. Service will be at Crosby-N. Gray & Co. in Burlingame on August 6 at 10:30am, followed by her celebratio­n of life.
