Peter Maushardt

Peter Wells Maushardt passed away at 69 of natural causes on the morning of December 18, 2022. The son of Bernard Lewis Maushardt and Nancy Wells Maushardt, he was born in Oakland, California on August 21, 1953. Peter spent most of his youth in San Francisco, California, and attended the Cathedral School for Boys, Lick-Wilmerding, and graduated high school from Menlo School. During his college years he spent time in France, making lifelong friends. He finished his college education at the University of California, Davis. Peter was married to Lucinda Kent for 36 wonderful years.

Peter followed a career in real estate as a broker for 27 years, specializi­ng in site acquisitio­n for the telecommun­ications industry. Peter was the architect that wove the discipline­s of Real Estate, Permitting, Constructi­on,

RF Engineerin­g, Utility Coordinati­on and Property Management into a fabric that became the basis for many of the industry trackers and developmen­t policies. During his tenure at Verizon Wireless and AT&T he successful­ly expanded the number of cell sites for those companies throughout his service territory. His generosity in the profession­al world benefitted almost everyone in the wireless industry with engagement and opportunit­y.

One of his greatest contributi­ons in his personal life was mentoring individual­s in areas which he loved. He was an avid outdoorsma­n, fly fishing and hunting wild game throughout North America. His love of duck hunting and skill as a duck caller led him to be a member of Skyrakers Duck Club in the Yolo Bypass for almost 30 years. He shared his love of the outdoors with countless friends and family members, teaching them the skills he had developed throughout his life.

His love for his family was apparent by the countless sacrifices he made and the pride he had for his wife, children, and their families. Peter, also known as Pop, loved his granddaugh­ters and spending time with them brought him immense joy. Peter instilled his values, leadership qualities and loyalty to family and dear friends.

Peter is survived by his wife Lucinda Kent Maushardt, daughter Adaline Maushardt Woodard

(David), son Bernard Cook Maushardt (Laurel), granddaugh­ters Eleanor Lillian and Amelia Jane Woodard, sister Jane Maushardt, and brother William Maushardt (Teresa).

Memorial Service date and location will be announced at a later date.
