Julia Ann (Repetto) Urruty, 72, passed away on February 19, 2023, in Burlingame, CA. She was born on June 28, 1950, in San Mateo CA to parents Natale and Miriam Repetto. Julia is survived by her two sons, Etienne Natale Urruty and Vincent Urruty, and her granddaugh­ter Isabella Urruty whom she loved dearly. She was devoted to her late husband, Etienne Urruty. Julia is also survived by her three sisters: Annie Pagano, Karen Tomasello, and Joanne Lavezolli.

Julia dedicated her life to caring for others, which she pursued through a 45-year career as a CNA at Seton Medical Center. Her gentle nature and calming presence comforted and prepared patients both physically and emotionall­y for surgery. Julia’s compassion and empathetic ear left a lasting impact on patients from all walks of life, as she believed in treating everyone with equal care and respect, regardless of their background. After retiring from nursing, Julia was a devoted caregiver for her mother. Her passions were many, but one of her greatest joys was collecting people’s stories and memories, a testament to her love for people and their experience­s.

Julia faced many challenges throughout her life, but her strength and resilience were evident to all. She approached every challenge with hope and determinat­ion, inspiring those around her. Julia’s legacy will live on through her family and friends, who will remember her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Julia will be missed.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, March 9, 2023 after 5pm, with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City, CA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 10, 2023 at St. Veronica’s Church, 434 Alida Way, SSF, CA at 10:30am. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
