Vickie passed away peacefully at her home in Auburn, Calif., on December 28, 2023 at the age of 78. She is survived by George Juarez, her loving husband of 57 years.

Born in San Francisco to Carlos and Engracia Vasquez. She attended St. Paul’s Grammar School and was a proud graduate of St. Paul’s High School. She also attended San Francisco State University.

An employee of AT&T for 20 years. She started as a Hispanic Service Representa­tive in Sacramento and later became a Service Rep Instructor traveling to various cities across the US.

Vickie and George lived in San Francisco, Redwood City and San Mateo before settling in Auburn for the past 33 years. Thanksgivi­ngs at their home in Auburn were a three day family celebratio­n that all looked forward to and treasured each year.

Vickie had an adventurou­s soul and an open mind. She was an avid reader of books and newspapers. Throughout her life she enjoyed walking, jogging and cooking. She had a passion for gardening and created a beautiful, tranquil retreat which gave her much joy. Vickie loved traveling with George, especially to the coast, Lake Tahoe and Palm Springs. She was a Giants fan, a 49er faithful and enjoyed tailgates and attending 49er games at Candlestic­k Park with her family. She was a season ticket holder for 43 years.

Survived by her loving brother, Arturo Vasquez (Carlene), she will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Family was at the core of her being and you could count on her to always be there.

A service will be held on January 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of the Hills, 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn, Calif.
