Steven Flahive, of Corte Madera, beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend to many, passed away unexpected­ly on December 16, 2023. Steven was 55 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dee Dee Monte; and both sets of grandparen­ts, Charles and Anna May Flahive of Stoneham, Mass., and John and Margaret Gray of Beverly Hills, Calif.

Steven was born to Robert and Dee Dee in Santa Monica on July 3, 1968. Steven spent his early years in Marin prior to attending the Abby School in Canon City, Colo., and Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs. He graduated from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. Steven married Valerie Moran of Westport, Ireland, in 2007. He had a very successful career as a financial advisor, most recently with Wells Fargo Advisors in San Francisco.

Steven’s love for his children, Cameron (14) and Ella (12), was evident to all who knew him. He leaves behind a very loving father, Robert Flahive (Christine) in Sonoma; a brother, Brian Flahive (Mary); and nephew, Jack Flahive of Tucson, Ariz. He will be missed by his maternal uncle, Bob Gray (Jane); and cousins in California. He will be missed greatly by the Flahive clan, AnnaMae Newell, Charles, Paul, Dr. William and Jimmy Flahive; and many cousins in California and New England. He will be missed by his stepfather, Charlie Monte of San Anselmo; and Charlie’s children, Chrissy and Matt.

Son: “You are loved for the little boy you were, the special man you became and the wonderful son you will always be. We know you are at peace, but we miss you dearly.”

A celebratio­n of life is scheduled at St. Patrick’s Parish, Larkspur, Calif., January 24, 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Milo Foundation in honor of Steven Flahive, or the animal rescue of your choice.
