Laila Rosita Marcucci

-

Born on June 26, 1943,Laila came to the U.S. with her family from Pisa, Italy. Soon after, she met her husband Evio and they enjoyed 51 years together. They settled down in South San Francisco and raised their family making countless memories. She worked at Dubuque packing company before becoming a full time stay at home mother.

Her favorite past time was playing Bocce with Evio until his passing in 2011. She found joy in spending time with her friends playing at Orange Park where she carried on his legacy and winning streak. She brought that winning streak with her to Roseville in 2020 where she enjoyed playing tournaments and was lovingly known as everyone’s Nonna.

She loved cooking for her family and was known for encouraging everyone “Mangia!” while she added more to your plate. When she wasn’t playing Bocce or trying to feed you, she could be found in her garden. Her beautiful flowers will soon bloom at her home in Roseville where she passed peacefully on April 8, 2024, her loving family by her side.

Laila is survived by her children; Danny (Jill) and Patrizia (Ilana), sister-in-law Marisa, brother-in-law Gino, nieces and nephews; Rene, Bonnie, Luano, Michael, David and Pola.
